Harrier EV comes equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel drive and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system.
Tata Motors has commenced the production of the highly anticipated Harrier EV, the famous SUV’s first all-electric version. It is being produced at the company’s Pimpri factory in Pune, with customer deliveries set to begin later this month. Bookings started on July 2, and the Harrier EV has become the buzz of the town since then, with over 10,000 pre-orders already received.
The ex-showroom price starts at ₹21.49 lakh to goes up to ₹28.99 lakh, with the Stealth Edition starting at ₹28.24 lakh to ₹29.74 lakh, and it also features a Matte Black paint. The EV gets multiple variants, including two battery pack sizes: 65 kWh and 75 kWh.
Battery, Range & Performance
According to the MIDC report, the 65 kWh variant comes with a range of 538 km on a single charge, while the larger battery pack, 75 kWh, gets a range of 627 km (RWD) and 622 km (AWD). The firm also says that with the Boost mode used, the EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.
Customers can also get to choose from the single-motor RWD and the dual-motor AWD system. AWD models produce 313 horsepower and 504 Nm of torque, while RWD models produce 238 horsepower and 315 Nm. Depending on the approach, charging the EV differs. For instance, a 120 kW DC charger can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes, while a 7.2 kW AC charger can charge the battery from 10% to 100% in 10.7 hours.
Features & Technology
The Harrier EV doesn’t skimp on features either. It gets a large 14.53-inch infotainment display with Samsung Neo QLED technology, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a touch-based HVAC control panel, an HD rearview mirror (IRVM), reverse assistance, multiple regeneration modes with paddle shifters, and 6 drive modes tailored to different terrains.

The first Harrier EV to leave the factory in its eye-catching “Nainital Nocturne” color and will also be available in other colours, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, and Pure Grey, while Matte Black is limited to the Stealth Edition. The variant that is already in production will start its deliveries soon. This marks an important milestone in the luxury electric SUV segment, and the EV on the whole comes with a top-class performance, an impressive range, and is loaded with modern features and technology.
